If you think the drive may have developed bad sectors while it was delivered, then that doesn't say much for the device, especially for it's reliability. Surely these devices travel often and long with professionals, if the device suffers during delivery in it's box, what hope is there when it's to be used, say by me in Europe for 7-8 weeks?? Wouldn't the HDD need to be spinning to develop bad sectors?
This sounds like real lack of quality control by NextTo.

NVS product is released always with HDD formatting.
and we use passed HDD about Bad sector checking.
so I guess that it could be got error while delivering.
this is just my opinion.
we don't know the cause without the faulty device.
But as you said, the product seems to have a problem clarified.
so I said please contact the seller to get help.
and we don't release NVS1501 1TB version.
I guess that the internal HDD is inserted by a distributor.
or please let me know where you bought it.
I will check it.

So the distributor puts in the HDD? So you supply devices to the distributor without HDD? So what happens re warranty if that is the case? And what happens about quality control? How do I know that they put in good brand drives?? The distributor in this case is http://www.region4.com.au/
