7200 rpm extreme, transfer speed any faster?
There is a 7200 rpm drive option for the Nexto Extreme 500G, advertised at Adorama for $140 extra. However, all the specifications are identical for both the Extreme units, (same transfer speed, same size, weight, battery consumption). Is there any advantage to the more expensive 7200 unit?

Thanks,
Russ

There are two factors to determine the speed.

they are RPM, and buffer size.

so, The Hard-Disk that has 7200 RPM is faster than others(5400RPM)

could you say what the transfer rate is for the 5400 vs 7200, for SDHC and USB? Does the battery last longer on the slower drive?

Thanks,

We didn't check them exectly.
the difference between 7200 and 5400 isn't big.
If 7200 takes 2munites, 5400 might take 1munite 50sec.
(It is just my experience)

We are sorry about inaccurate answer.
